In this video, I show how to create a lightweight and sturdy candy bowl from papier-mâché using toilet paper and PVA glue.
I added spackle and liquid soap to the mixture for extra strength. After letting the form dry for 12 hours on a heater, I added another layer. Although the handle deformed a little (thanks to my son touching it while drying!), it turned out great. I finished the bowl with acrylic paints and a glossy varnish.
This craft is perfect for doing with children!
